Modal Verbs 1

الأفعال الناقصة 1

استخدم can للقدرة الحالية وcould للقدرة في الماضي، وshall للاقتراح، وshould وought to للنصيحة، وhad better للتحذير القوي.Use can for present ability, could for past ability, shall for suggestions, should and ought to for advice, and had better for strong warnings.

01 — افهم القاعدةUNDERSTAND

القاعدة The rule, ببساطة.simply.

Can & Could • كان وكُد

نستخدم can للقدرة الحالية، وcould للقدرة في الماضي. يمكن أن نبدأ السؤال بـ Can للسؤال عن قدرة حالية أو Could للسؤال عن قدرة ماضية، والنفي can't أو couldn't. يأتي بعدهما الفعل الأساسي بلا to.

Can/Could + subject + base verb? • can't/couldn't + base verb↳ Mariam can solve this puzzle.↳ I couldn't swim when I was six.↳ Could Faisal read when he was five?

Shall • شال

نستخدم shall غالبًا مع I أو we لعرض المساعدة أو اقتراح عمل شيء معًا.

Shall I / we + base verb?↳ Shall I carry that bag?↳ Shall we meet after lunch?

Should & Ought to • شُد وأوت تو

كلاهما يقدم نصيحة. في هذا المستوى نستخدم should في الإثبات والنفي والسؤال، ونستخدم ought to للنصيحة المثبتة. يأتي بعد should فعل أساسي، وبعد ought حرف to ثم الفعل.

should / shouldn't + base verb • Should + subject...? • ought to + base verb↳ You should drink more water.↳ Should I call the clinic?↳ You shouldn't skip breakfast.↳ You ought to say sorry.

Had better • هاد بِتر

نستخدم had better لنصيحة قوية أو تحذير عندما توجد نتيجة سيئة محتملة. يأتي بعدها الفعل الأساسي، والنفي had better not. لا نستخدمها كسؤال عادي في هذا المستوى.
